OUR GOALS
We're raising money for a trip to Ames, Iowa to compete in
Odyssey of the Mind World Finals from May 25-28.
We're a team of fourth- to sixth-graders at Evergreen Community Charter School in Asheville.
We won FIRST PLACE in North Carolina state's Odyssey of the Mind. WootWoot!
We also won a seat at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University in Ames, IA.

Why We Need Money
We estimate the entire trip to Ames, Iowa and back to cost about $20,000.
We know that sounds like a lot of money, but Odyssey of the Mind is not a school-funded event, we have to cover a lot of costs, including:
• Tournament registration fees for all 7 team members.
• Gas and food/drink from Ames, Iowa and then home (it's almost 2,000 miles in total).
• Room and board for the four-day tournament, and that's not just for us. We have an amazing coach and chaperones (even though we told our parents we'd be fine on our own).

We've missed Saturday-morning sleep-ins, after-school playdates, lazy Sunday afternoons, and evening TV. We've had to tell our friends "No," so we could say "Yes" to our team. We've done it all with ambitions of World Finals in Ames, Iowa.
